What I’m up to now
Writing, writing, writing
Books and stories on the boil 📚 A sci-fi romance novella 📕 A contemporary romance novella 📗 That’s it! I’ve vowed not to put more on my plate until it’s clear.
Staying active
My Christmas/NY break was so very lazy, but my 2026 has begun in earnest and I’m looking forward to windy walks, pole time, and general physical funsies here and there.
Maintenance and care
The dress I was excited to wear to family Christmas lunch had a big hole in it. And yet … I wore it anyway, then proceeded to wear it another 2 times because stuff it, really. It's my favourite outfit right now, and no point letting a hole in an easily concealable place ruin that. There’ll be sewing in my near future. No complaints.
My mother-in-law got me a Knitpatch, which is a very cool little loom-like tool that lets you weave a super-cute patch over holes in your clothes. Sadly, the hole in my dress is not the right type for this tool, but I’m now very much on the lookout for claw holes in our shirts 😆
Terra serenus
Our blueberry bush has made no more berries, but it is still green and growing. The ceramic house is now a bug house in the middle of our garden and I’ve not yet dared to peep under it for bugs. Gross 🪳
